GODSENT advance to the DreamHack ZOWIE Open Summer playoffs after defeating NiP 16-8 on Mirage in the Group B winners' match. The Group B winners' match of DreamHack ZOWIE Open Summer was another showdown between two regional rivals, this time a Swedish duel with Ninjas in Pyjamas and GODSENT sparring. The game kicked off on Mirage with GODSENT on their CT-side not buying a fake from NiP and thus retaking the B-site and winning the pistolround. Simon "twist" Eliasson & co. then dismantled an early NiP buy on the third round and advanced to 4-0 after shutting down NiP's save rounds. NiP finally managed a round win on the fifth round but it was GODSENT who were soon back in the driver's seat as Andreas "znajder" Lindberg and team captain Markus "pronax" Wallsten shone in particular in the dismantling of NiP's executes.
NiP clinched another T-side on the eleventh round but another attempt at gaining momentum was shut down in the next round as a hiding pronax in the B apartments managed to spray down three rushing NiP players after they had passed his position. With NiP afterwards securing one more round, the half finished 12-3 in favour of GODSENT. A GODSENT A take on the second pistolround looked as if it were going to be successful, especially with znajder picking up two key kills at Connector, but Adam "friberg" Friberg smoked the bomb and managed to pull off a ninja defuse despite two GODSENT players being alive. GODSENT forced up immediately and managed to overwhelmn the bombsite to advance to a 13-4 lead, however the next round was Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund pull off a game-changing play as the 26-year-old star picked up four CZ75 kills, including winning a one-versus-three that saw him get the final kill with the last bullet in his pistol. Although NiP were slightly energised from this clutch, GODSENT continued grinding and overwhelming NiP across the map and ultimately closed the map 16-8. DreamHack ZOWIE Open Summer 2016Best of 1
